I met Bryan and his wife Jo-Anne at Los Gatos United Methodist Church in 1999. Bryan and I worked together on church committees and he is a responsive and proactive leader. Bryan is passionate about the causes he supports. One such cause is climate change, which is also an important issue to us. Our two families have been friends for many years, interacting in various social situations and watching each other’s children grow up. I support and will vote for Bryan as a member of Monte Sereno City Council.
I was on City Council for 4 years, including Mayor for one year. Bryan understands sustainability, including solar panels and battery systems. All of our homes need to become more energy independent, and our grid needs to become more resilient. Bryan's knowledge and interest in electric generation and storage will help Monte Sereno influence PG&E to prioritize new equipment installations to reduce the impact of electricity shutoffs. I live over the hill now but I endorse Bryan for City Council.
I have known Bryan for 12 years. I first met Bryan when he was coaching his son’s Little League team. During his coaching of his son and daughter's teams there were work parties to prepare and maintain the baseball fields. On two occasions Bryan was the only one to show up to work. I am endorsing Bryan for his dedication and work ethic. Also, with his accounting and financial background he will be a real asset to the Council.
I endorse Bryan for City Council. He has excellent financial skills and valued leadership qualities. Bryan has led initiatives as a concerned citizen to improve traffic safety in Monte Sereno and Los Gatos. He supports fair, impartial and objective practices for inspection of home construction projects by the city. A leader that takes action, his vision for green energy in our region is important to our family. Changes in our environment require all of us to support future investments in local infrastructure. My wife and I have enjoyed our friendship with Bryan and his family for over 20 years. We met as members of the Los Gatos United Methodist Church. Along with his son Nik and other youth we worked together in volunteer service to build a home sponsored by LGUMC and install a solar lighting system sponsored by Lighting for Literacy. A man with a generous spirit, vote for Bryan.
Bryan’s commitment to Monte Sereno became evident to me more than 10 years ago, when I began attending city council meetings as a reporter.
I witnessed a lot of frustration and anger amongst residents, but instead of joining the chorus of complainers, Bryan offered creative solutions to complex city problems.
Bryan’s thoughtful approach to problem-solving, coupled with his trustworthiness, sensibility and financial acumen, make him an ideal leader for Monte Sereno.
I have known Bryan and his family since 2008. When I was on City Council and as Mayor, I was always interested in hearing Bryan’s perspective on matters since he had Monte Sereno’s best interests at heart. Bryan is impartial and has a keen understanding of what's good for the community. I am no longer a resident of Monte Sereno but, if I was, he would have my vote.
We met when I was sworn in as a City Council member in December 2010. I was delighted when Bryan and Jo-Anne became U.S. citizens in 2019, especially since I knew that Bryan could run for City Council. Bryan listens to people and when elected he will listen to you. I ask that you vote for Bryan for City Council.
As a 41 year resident and former City Council member and Mayor, I’m pleased to endorse Bryan Mekechuk for Council. Bryan listens carefully, thinks clearly and acts decisively. His thoughtful voice on the Council will benefit all residents in our community.
As a 20 year resident, former City Council member and former Chair of the Site &Architectural Commission I fully endorse Bryan Mekechuk for our City Council. Bryan is very familiar with our City, and will be able to contribute immediately. He is very analytical and has a no nonsense style He has a rare combination of problem solving skills, financial and technical knowledge, and he will be a great addition to the Council.
When I was on City Council, Bryan spoke on matters that were important to the community. It was critical for me to hear people speak so I could understand all sides of each issue. I know Bryan appreciates the value of hearing from citizens before making decisions. He has my vote.
I’ve known Bryan and his family for more than 20 years. We shared training in the Los Gatos Leadership program, which gives a comprehensive inside view of what it takes to be a public leader. He’s practical in his approach and always analyzes the situation before taking action. He has an unmatched vision for the benefits of clean energy and electric vehicles to mitigate the effects of climate change, and takes the painstaking time required to prove things pencil out for the community. A man with great ideas and a passion for what’s right in the community, he will take action and serve Monte Sereno exceptionally well. From your neighboring community of Los Gatos, I endorse Bryan.
